I've been coming here for years and glad that this last visit, the service got so much better. The food is still delicious, especially the mussel curry sauce. The specials are always so good and although they changed the menu and no longer offer a dish I liked they still have some favorites. I enjoyed the steak plate special.

Doing a Saturday sightseeing trip, we found this gem of a place. Tip - make a reservation as it gets very crowded and as they say if it's busy it's got to be good. We got the clams and as this is what they are known for it was a great decision. Tender, flavorful and the broth you mop up with the bread tops it off. Service is attentive and not overly done. The views of the sound and overall atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. Make a reservation, enjoy the food, enjoy the service and the views.

We took a spontaneous trip to Whidbey Island and decided to try Front Street Grill for lunch. Since it was a bit unplanned, we walked in during lunchtime, and it was packed. So, I would definitely recommend folks make a reservation. They took our number and buzzed us when a table was ready, which was great because then we didn't have to sit in there waiting. We were able to walk around and visit other shops while we waited. About 45 minutes later, our table was ready. Our server was kind and helpful with mocktail suggestions. We ordered mocktails and the crab artichoke dip appetizer. The mocktails were tasty, and the crab artichoke dip was delicious, served with a very generous amount of garlic bread. For our mains, our table ordered: Whidbey Mussels: The mussels tasted very fresh. The port, blackberry liqueur, and red wine sauce was very sweet. I have an extreme sweet tooth, so I really liked it, but the other two in our party did not like it as much. They said it was way too sweet. We added two slices of garlic toast for an additional $4.50. -Chicken Bacon Pesto Caesar Wrap: Really tasty and refreshing. -Bobby's Raspberry Jalapeño Gouda Bacon Burger: THIS IS A MUST TRY! We loved it! It is a perfect blend of savory, spicy, and sweet. The restaurant is small but charming, with big windows. The food portions are very generous, and we were very full and satisfied. My only complaint is that we didn't really get checked on often by the staff. Other than getting our food and bill, we didn't really see our server or get offered any water or beverage refills. Overall, it was a great meal, and we would definitely go again if we visit the island again.

We were playing on the island while my mom visited from Oregon when we stumbled upon this lovely spot! There was a wait but they take your phone number and buzz you when your table is ready. So we checked out the shops and were seated in a little under their estimated wait time of 45 minutes. The selection of mussel dishes was phenomenal. My mother was warned that the pasta dish she ordered was spicy, so she swapped out for the other pasta option on the menu. My friend chose their veggie burger and fries option. Our service was okay but could have been a bit more attentive. No drinks were checked on at any point but I was plowing through my generous portion of mussels so it didn't necessarily bother me. They require you to add bread to the order if you'd like some to mop up the delicious broth, I made the mistake of not doing that. It would be nice if it just came with the dish, given the price point of bread. Alas, it's a minor irk if that. Moms pasta was generous on the shrimp and tasty. The food was fabulous. The restaurant is small but crowded given its clear popularity! The prices were actually really inexpensive for a seafood establishment. The service was a bit lacking but honestly we prefer it on the less disruptions the better side. It's on my list of places we will go whenever we're enjoying the beauty that Whidby has to offer, which is quite frequent despite being from King County.

Jayden greeted us with a friendly smile & was spot on with her service. We chose seafood (crab cakes, chowder) and both were absolutely fantastic. The Caesar salads were large, fresh and both the dressing & croutons were really flavorful. Great menu, location and clean bathrooms.

Come here, get the Green Curry Mussels and be the happiest person on the planet. I'm telling you absolutely nothing compares to these babies! I like to have mine with garlic toast so I can sop up the most heavenly sauce! The service is very friendly and there is usually a bit of a wait but put your name in and check out the cute shops around Coupeville or walk the pier while you wait. They text you when your table is ready! Pros Best curry mussels EVER Good beer selection Great na/mocktail options Cons There will be a wait, esp in the summer Not a con for me but they put seasoning/pepper on their fries (a con for my 5 year old)

A friend recommended this place knowing we were mussel lovers. They didn't disappoint. Food 5/5 - if you love mussels this is the place. Decent portions. We ordered the cup of clam chowder, Rockefeller mussels, crab cakes and fish and chips. Everything was fresh and tasty. Pricing is okay considering you're getting fresh seafood. Ambiance: 4/5 - get there early if you want a seat by the window. There's patio seating outside. Service: 4/5 - server was friendly and made great recommendations. Parking: 5/5 - free parking out front or nearby

Came here on a trip to the Whidbey island on a Monday morning and had a great time. The service is great, they don't take reservations but we were promptly shown to a table within 10 minutes of arriving for lunch. Must try- penncove mussels. We tried the coconut gravy and they were delicious!! We also tried their black bean burger and it did not disappoint at all! My partner tried the beef patty burger with bacon and he was extremely satisfied with his meal as well. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood
